The Sarasota International Film Festival

Sarasota Film Festival was founded in July 1998 as a balanced festival of foreign, domestic, independent and studio films which engages the commercial film industry. Its first mini-festival, January 15-17, 1999, included eight feature films, symposiums and a gala fundraiser. Soon after, SFF established a year-round presence with off-season premiere events and expanded its relationship with Regal Cinemas to offer more diverse film programming. (Read more)
